Dietitian Grade 2
Part time, fixed term position until March 2019
The Royal Women’s Hospital is Australia’s first and largest specialist hospital dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing of newborns and women of all ages. To join the Women’s is to be instrumental in forging progress towards health equity for women from ground-breaking research through to the bedside delivery of multi-disciplinary clinical care.
Creating exceptional experiences is at the heart of everything we do for our patients, their families, and our people across our specialised services within maternity, neonatal and women’s health.
Our Nutrition Department provides comprehensive nutrition services to hospital inpatients and outpatients, professional colleagues and the broader community associated with the hospital. The department is also involved in research, teaching and training. Our dietitians have specialist knowledge of nutrition and women’s health throughout all stages of the life cycle and provide expert advice on a range of issues including pregnancy, neonatal care, weight and eating concerns, diabetes, fertility related conditions, oncology, continence and older women’s health.
Your contribution
The Nutrition Department requires an experienced dietitian to provide part time cover on two days per week (Thursday and Friday) for a fixed term, until end March 2019 (with possible extension). The clinical workload involves primarily providing a dedicated nutrition service to our Oncology and Complex Care Units with secondary responsibilities in maternity care. The clinical workload involves both inpatient and outpatient work, group education programs, student training, lecturing, health promotion and opportunity for involvement in a range of departmental projects. This is a shared position and requires collaboration with your partnering dietitian.
